On June 7 the National Immigration Forum and Mormon Women for Ethical Government held two online panel discussions focused on the Afghan Adjustment Act. The panels were made up of lawyers, refugee resettlement specialists, immigration experts, faith leaders, and veterans. The message is a non-partisan call for our leaders to do the right thing and pass an Afghan Adjustment Act. For everyone involved, the issue is personal—we all know individuals or families trying to start a new life here in the U.S. Give the two panels a listen by clicking here, and then spread the word. Please consider contacting your senator to ask her/him to support the Afghan Adjustment Act.
